My friend and I both have around 73 sites together (total). So in general, we have 73 domains, it includes both blogs and landing pages (in html/wp) but ONLY 2 ecommerce sites. So now, we just partnered up and decide to link them together in some way, so that we can maximize the potential of the 2 ecommerce sites (money sites), in terms of SERP and passing on link juice etc. I have looked into building a private network but i dont know if thats really going to help as I believe the main concept of those are 'one way backlinks', while i want my landing pages to link with one another also. Please advise. Thank you |

You don't. Don't ever link a network of sites together that all contain the same IP's, you'll be slapped and de-indexed. Get one way links from a diverse amount of IP's that have no relation to yours. |

Do you mean 'rank each site' individually'?

Don't create a group of sites that all links to each other as it would only create a link farm which is definitely not a good I idea. However, since it was only the 2 e-commerce sites that you want to boost up, you may just include the link towards to those two sites on the 71 other sites that you have.

What about building a link pyramid with them? dividing the 73 sites into different tiers (base of importance etc.), then have the 2 money site up top? |

You can link your sites together all you want. The links might be devalued and if you're clearly using them for linkspam, then you might see some manual action, but that's unlikely. As for how you should link them together? I'd cluster them into groups and subgroups. Have all the sites in a subgroup link together, then link a few from each subgroup with different subgroups in the same group. Then link a few from each group with eachother. Actually since you want to rank the money sites, still do the group subgroup thing, but point a few from each group at your ecommerce sites. I'd avoid linking the ecommerce sites together.

failblog, etc. etc. etc. Literally hundreds and hundreds of sites, same IP, all interlinked. Those big sites have hundreds of domains for their many endeavors, and they would not think of NOT linking up. You don't think big networks like go.com and zap2it link their sites together? You'd be a fool not to link. One of the biggest SEO secrets out there. Why? Who knows. If you choose to be a big fish, why not emulate the big fish? Google does not penalize sites for linking up. That's a crazy idea in the first place. The world runs on shared servers. Contrary to what hosting sellers want you to believe. Don't put more than 100 links on a single page to keep the user experience decent. 50 or less is a good number. Paul

You can link them together in an appropriate way, you shouldnt be penalised. You'll only start to incurr the real wrath of Google when you start link farming. Hope that helps, Sophie |

Hope I am not too greedy here, but I would also like to rank my landing pages & blogs rank also. (as second priority). Will this be possible?

Honestly, regardless of who disagree's with me, if you don't know what you're doing then just don't do it. Don't compare this guy to sites like Amazon and Wiki, two COMPLETELY different things going on here. But hey, you do what you want. |

| I've never heard it called that before , but it kinda sums it up.The OP should ask himself what the purpose of linking together is. If it is just to get links then forget it. There are about 50,000,000 other more "natural" places you can get links from. If it is because visitors from one site may be interested in the other sites then ok. But unless there is a point to it, then why do it? Surely there is no point in interlinking them all together. Unless they are mainly all on different IP's and have privacy turned on, then the link juice benefits will be limited. Sam |
