Is this all the steps that is to rank top on Google? 1) Find a low-med buyer niche 2) buy a EMD 3) create quality content for each keyword targeted 4) build backlinks to those content That's all it takes to rank on page 1? |

It can be if you choose your keyword carefully. You could be on page one of Google in a matter of hours for a keyword that nobody searches on; even without creating backlinks. On the other hand, it can be very difficult to get to page one at all for a keyword that is very popular... and profitable. Not because of the keyword but because of the heavy competition you're likely to encounter. If there are a lot of searches for a keyword and that keyword is commercially viable (this is an important distinction), then the chances are the big hitters in the SEO world are already targeting it. And they can be hard to beat. So the trick is to find keywords or key phrases that are commercially vialble, and have a reasonable number of searches, that don't have too much strong competition. |

Yes, that is basically the spine of what should be done for that. Keyword research should be included as well, to avoid too much competition. |

that's no point to get into the #1 if the search volume is too low or the keyword is not targeted. Therefore, people normally will first go for the keyword research to get the long tails keywords (to make it more targeted and lower competition compare to single words or phrase). Then, check the search volume and competitive, always prefer high search volume and low competitive if possible. However, normally it is not easy to get high search volume but low competitive keyword. In this case, go for the competitor analysis, check the major competitor website to see whether you can beat them. |

I don't know what emd is either. Please don't use shortened versions of words, unless it's something everyone knows. I can't answer your question, if it is a question, cause I don't know what you're talking about, and I'm not totally new to IM.

It will depend on what keyword you are using. As Ray said, profitable and popular keywords are quite hard to rank due to stiff competition. If you think your using keywords with low level competition but having reasonable monthly searches, that might be enough. But again, don't stick with that methods alone, there are lots of methods that you can use in order to get on page one of Google. |

| That's the basics, yes. The hard part is doing the proper research on your competition, making sure your on-page SEO is spot-on, and getting high quality backlinks.

To a degree, yes. But building quality backlinks and creating quality content might be harder than you think. It really depends on the competition and whatnot.
