SEO Question for Ranking UK Site

Hi there,

I purchased a .com as the .co.uk version for that keyword was not available. So my target market is the UK and where I'm trying to rank.

SO at the moment for my main keyword (which is the url too) I'm ranking on the first page of google but for u.s and not for what i want which is the u.k.

I realise there are many factors (including the domain perhaps as well) in regards to seo I might need to look at in order to rank better in the uk search engines.

I'm looking for someone that can point me in the right track though?

Not going to reveal the site for confidentiality reasons.
