Does Links to Internal Page Help Main Page Keyword

I have a website that is targeting 1 main keyword and other different keywords. If I build backlinks to other internal pages, will it help my main keyword and push that on Google as well?

Yes, it still helps but it helps much on the inner page than the homepage

It should flow the other way.

You really don't need to build links to internal pages. I do, but
only in blog posts and my articles that have multiple links.

You should build the majority of links to your main page, varying
the anchor text.

PR, authority flow downhill. You can get your internal pages to rank
based solely on internal linking.

As your site becomes large, there is really little value in spending time
getting links to all pages. You don't have enough time in the day to
get ones of any consequence. You probably have a few "pet" internal
pages. Tossing a few links their way is not too time consuming.

Building links to the main page is really the way to go, and let
nature takes its course with the rest. It really does work.

A good internal linking structure can rank your inner pages well when your homepage starts ranking and yes, they do pass linkjuice as well.

Yes, it's more helpful when you place link of main page in inner pages.

I recommend you also create backlinks to your inner pages and from those pages you should link to your main keyword page and money pages.

It depends on your promotion.. If you have your main keyword in your internal pages then link building will surely help in improving your main keyword ranking.
