I've got 1 local plumbing client with approx. 30 or so sites. We are focused on creating different sites with slightly different content (at times spun to 50% uniqueness) and Wordpress themes. However, most are designed using Catalyst Theme designer and all keywords are strategically placed in H1 - H3 tags and rarely are the keywords the same, i.e. plumber in city, city plumbers, city plumbing company, etc... all of this is done using Host Gators add on domains. My questions is "does Google know if this is the same company"? Most of the sites have the same phone number and image logo. Warrior thoughts, opinions, comments welcomed. Regards, Derek |

How many sites do you think something like gasbuddy.com owns? All for the same thing, just a different state, city. Same site even, mostly, across the board. However, if you are just dong a rehash of the same site, with no focus on anything unique, like city, genre, state, services, etc, then what's the point? Instead of doing a bunch of small sites for one thing, concentrate on one site, build content and authority. Google could care less how many sites one company owns. Amazon, wikipedia, failblog, go.com, zap2it, ebay, etc. etc. own multiple sites. Very common. But each site normally has a slightly different niche, like ebaymotors, wikibooks, disney.go.com, espn.go.com, etc. Paul |
