Hey Warriors, I want to get your opinion on something. Does Google give more boost to a blog that has plenty of comments on them? What I have heard is that if you have a blog post and you get lots of comments on the blog it shows Google that your site has good content. I am not talking about spam blogging to get links...I am talking about comments directly on the articles page itself. Your thoughts? Michael |

Hi michaelcorvin, I admit I've not tested it but I would say yes, g will give you credit for the real comments people are putting on your blog and it's content. It may not get actual ranking credit but maybe will help with pr. The one advantage you definitely will get is that the spiders will visit more because something new keeps going on in your blog, couple that with adding fresh content regularly and then backlinks and that whole package would hit the right ranking buttons. ![]() Hopefully someone who's actually tested what's in my first paragraph can add to your thread. It makes sense in the whole scheme of things, especially with the whole social media thing. If the search engines like blogs because they provide (or should provide) up-to-date, relevant content on a topic, then you would expect to see an exchange of ideas and what not between the viewers of the blog and the blogger him or herself. They are like small communities. Even before social media blew up, I heard that how long a visitor stays on your site or a page on your site impacts the off-page SEO stuff. The longer someone stays on your site, the more relevant it must be, right? I would think so. It's a logical conclusion. Joey | |

Blog commenting is very important to get the Google ranking because with the blog commenting you can get the many back links which is useful to get the good PR but you have to write the quality and attractive contents in it and use do follow link.
