Default Question about redirected backlinks

I just made a backlink to my website from a website with good authority, however the backlink redirects to my website in the form of site.com/externalRedirect/?url=mysite.com Does this type of link pass any linkjuice?

Thanks

Come on people, it gives you no juice at all. It's not
a backlink. redirect ?=url is not seen nor heard.

Hi Shrike,

You didn't give us quite enough information to say for sure. It all depends on how that redirect is structured. If it is a server-side script that simply passes through as a 301 permanent Redirect then, yes, it will still pass link juice, though at a slightly reduced rate. If, however it uses a client-side script or anything other than a 301 Redirect, you will not see any link juice passed.

Use this tool to see if your backlink is a search engine friendly link:

Check Server Headers Tool - HTTP Status Codes Checker - Advanced Version CSH Bot V3S
