How do I find backlinks that a website has? So I know what kind I need

Hey everyone

I posted on another forum of internet marketing, and they said that first, I need to know what kind of backlinks my competition has, then I get those kind and beat them, etc.

But, how do I find that out?

You can use YSE (Site Explorer - Yahoo! Site Explorer) while it's still active. It's supposed to be taken down soon though. That worries me a little since so many applications & services rely on it.

There are so many tools and websites available online to find the backlinks. You can use SEOspyglass or Yahoo site explorer for best results.

Sometimes tools not give the accurate result for backlinks. You should check it manually. As in google search box write link: and then your site name. So this way also you can check backlinks.
