Does anyone have any experience on buying anchor text links on the home page of high pr blogs, and if so is it ok to show the text link from every page of the website.

Does this help with SEO ?

yes it helps, but rather then buying links you should opt guest blogging option, it will helps you more in order to get backlink and traffic.

There is nothing wrong in getting all forms of backlinks, rather it gives you link diversity and looks natural to the search engines, but take informed decision based on requirements of your websites and sites competing with you in the same niche.

I buy links from private link networks and by submitting to free and paid blog networks (free traffic system, Authority Link Network, Build My Rank, ArticleRanks...)

is it ok to show the text link from every page of the website? - those links are called run of site links. They are great for established sites, but I don't recommend them for brand new sites - this may get your new site sandboxed.

NO, There is no problem to buying text links from others blog. Well, As @stuart william suggest blog posting is the best to get naturally backlinks & its drives traffic too.

Never try them as it is a black hat technique and Google will penalize your site as soon as they come to know that you are buying links. It is not good and most precisely outdated practice of linkbuilding so try to avoid it

God, will all the people saying "penalize" just shut up and die already....

In my niche, all my top competitors have many, sometimes up to a hundred links on various private blogs that they obviously bought. This is the main reason they outrank me, because they buy a ton of backlinks I cannot get. Sure, I can work harder and outrank some of them, and I have, but they certainly do not penalize your website and they WILL help with your rankings, even if the blogs are only somewhat decent.
