Default domain age question

I have re-registered the very first domain I owned, mainly for nostalgia ( I made alot of cash back then through this domain), but may do something with it.

It still shows an age of 11 years, but I did not own it that full time, does that age still count?

thanks,
Jon

If it still shows an age of 11 years then it it's still an 11 year old domain.

It can switch hands with new ownership and still keep its old age just fine.

Yes if the domain is 11 years old, it is 11 years old. It has it's own identity, that does not change with whoever owns it.

It is good to own aged domain specially if you have been making money with it.

The age of domain is from is the day it was first registered.

I've heard that ownership can count if a domain has ever gone back into the wild, such as being listed on a big site like GoDaddy. Where as private sales rarely effect age. Doesn't seem to be an issue here if it's still coming up as 11 years aged. Also I've heard that there's been faked aged domains being sold... non-related to this thread, but interesting none the less.

Thanks everyone, cool deal! wasn't sure how that worked.

The name itself is not all that great "bucks4.com" and nothing has been done with it in many years (this was when AltaVista and Yahoo were king) but it is appropriate for the "make money online" niche and the age may help with authority if i can produce some content and build some links.

Thanks again,
Jon
