Hi Basically i created a site a few days a go. its a dot com, with the keywords as the site title. All one site seo had been done geared to that keyword. Ie. site title, description, post titles, h1 and h2 tags ect ect. Created 2000 backlinks to the site. These were automated backlinks provided by an longstanding seo forum which have the intention of getting new sites indexed quicker. If i type in my URL into google my site now comes up, but when i type in the main keyword that the whole site is built around i cant find it, even when i go to page 20..... someone help. Why has it dissapeared. Thanks in advance Sonny. |

First thing I would look at are your backlinks. From the sound of it because they were all automated and came in at once that may have been a red flag for the big g. Try doing this over the month or two and see where you are.

Hi Sonny, Yes this happens - it is a good sign - it means your site has been indexed so Google knows you are there and it may be showing up on different results depending on what Google Dataserver you are using. Keep on adding fresh content and you will see the listing appear in the actual results. Chris |

Internet Marketing & SEO Forum - IMT Website Submitter it seemed really reputable and had the aim of getting me indexed faster. But im starting to see that hitting a new fresh site with 2500 backlinks was a bad idea? even though all i was trying to do was getting myself indexed....

.I just assumed that because my whole site was geared towards a certian keyword and because the competition for that keyword was weak in the top ten i should have automatically appeared somewhere in the first few pages atleast.

Indexed and ranked are two different beasts. Was the site ever ranked in the top 20 pages? A 3 day old site may be indexed but may not have been ranked yet. If it was ranked and then plummeted it may well have been an overdose of (automated? - covers a lot of ground) backlinks. It isn't normal/good practice to throw 1000's of backlinks at brand new sites - kinda asking for trouble really. That said, a 3 day old site is not unknown to be a little erratic in it's search position as Google assesses it |

Thank you. It seems I am expecting too much too quickly. I clearly have a lot to learn. It was never ranked in the top 20. Basically the scenario went like this. Over the space of 2 days 1. created the site. Did all the on site seo, created an article, 100 percent unique all seo optimized with the main keyword. 2. wasn't indexed in 24 hours, got itchy and impatient 3. tried finding a way of getting it indexed quickly 4. found the above site, hit it with 2500 back links (assumed it wouldnt matter, as they would be indexed at different rates anyway 5. it managed to get my site indexed but as a result the is no where to be seen for my desired low comp keyword, it is however there when i search the url in google. 6. I have learnt a valuable lesson, don't hit fresh sites with lots of backlinks in one go

I looked at the link you used and it is only to whois/valuation sites etc so to be fair I would not expect those links to do you any damage. And, in practice, a few days is probably too soon for Google to decide to penalize you anyway. So hang in there and I think you will see your site start to rank (depending on keyword competition). Yes, a little patience and all the other listed lessons are very valid good luck

Build more backlinks. You'll rank pretty quickly if the competition is weak.

Sonny, at this point, the only conclusion you can reliably draw is that you are not ranked in the top ~200 for your keyword. Your link package did what it was intended to do - it got you indexed quickly. The links themselves sound like they have negligible value. Keep adding content and a variety of backlinks from a variety of sites. Also, it sounds like you may have over-optimised your site. Being too perfect can be as big a red flag as too many of the wrong links. |

I have used that tool twice each Sonny and had no problem with it what so ever. Its designed to get your site indexed quickly that is all and it has worked for me. It took my sites about a week before I seen my ranking. How I got my ranking was to write unique content. I am now in the process of building links. http://www.myinternetmarketingsucces...-engines-fast/ That is the link were I got my information from and its been true to its word. Both my websites have been ranked quickly. |

The sites you used the technique on, were they brand new domains that had only been registered a few days, or domains you had for a while longer. And you said you werent seeing any rankings untill you started writing more content?

Yes, the "whois" sites are just used to get indexed, they aren't used to rank your site, and shouldn't even be relied upon to do so. After you are indexed, start building QUALITY links to your website. If you have the money to spare use a high PR blog network like BMR. I have seen great results with this; sites that were on page 6 or 7 get shot up to page 1 with just a few backlinks. Of course, you do have to remember that it depends on the actual competition of your keyword to how fast you will rise in the SERPs. -- Jeff |

For new websites you will NOT rank until a few different things have been accounted for on Googles side. Give it a week or two and you'll notice you at least rank somewhere on Google for the targeted keyword.

You said you only created the site a few days ago. You know what, you don't deserve to show up in the top 20 pages. I do not understand why so many people feel that they are immediately entitled to a top ranking from Google. Even when I create a page for a weak keyword, I do not bother looking at the rankings for at least 3 weeks. If it ranks faster than that, great. Instead of worrying about this (or using the search button to find the other 8 billion threads created on this same topic), focus your time on something productive like building more backlinks and creating more content. |

That IMT submitter is only good for getting indexed, you now need to work on getting some high quality backlinks that will help with your ranking. Do not give up, be persistent and most of all be patient, you will not get high ranking right away especially if you are just starting out.
