Best recommended Softwares to build PR/backlinks/traffic to get leads?

I've been checking out a lot of the tools posted in Black Hat SEO Tools section but had a few inquiries for those patient enough to answer a newbie. I'm currently changing the niche of my website so I'll have to change the keyword density of the entire website so Google can pick up this change. It will take a lot of work to do this manually so I was wondering, what softwares/programs would you recommend I get (or even purchase) that are actually still helpful (after the Panda update) and have some sort of guide available (remember I am a newbie)?

I see so many backlink softwares, but I need to know which softwares are worth investing into to increase PR, build useful high PR backlinks (hopefully with AA directories), get more traffic to the website and the ultimate goal of it all -- to get some leads related to my niche. Any ideas?

Why change the niche of the website?

Just make a new site targeted at your new niche.

Yes, that is a good question indeed. No responses yet though, anyone else? @36burrows, because the website I have right now already has a good amount of traffic coming in from search engines and is already PR 4. I don't want to just give up on the website and start something new... this will be my actual dedicated project, not a waste website, plus the name goes nicely with the niche I am going in .
