Page 1, position 5th, But not getting traffic

Hello friends. I am on warriors from 1 month. But It is my first thread here. I have a problem with my site.

I started my website 6 month ago. And now it is on first page of google with 5th position. According to adwords keyword tool my keyword has 27000 local monthly searches in USA. But I am not even getting single visitor from google. I do not know whats the problem. For your information I am also giving my site and main keyword

The first 3 spots usually swallow the most traffic. Moreover you might be looking at the broad match results (select the exact match results on the left hand side column)

People always saying product based keyword not evergreen, and after new models come in the searches will drop.

I would suggest trying to rank high for a number of keyword phrases. That way you do not have to worry about getting traffic from only a single keyword phrase.

Google keyword tool provides inaccurate information on the number of searches. Use it with a grain of salt.

I was using a broad search in Google Keyword tool as well, and not an exact search.
Now that changes everything!

the google keyword analyzer seems phony to me. As another user suggested, using the exact filter and estimating that the real number is 30% is a good start. My site ranks 3rd on the first page of a keyword that claims 2,000 exact match searches per month. I receive 6 hits a day.

This whole SEO business is overrated. I paid $4,000 to get that high and I have receive only 4 sales.

I'm not going to comment on your ranking position.

But I'd like to comment on your keyword: "Money Making Guide". That keyword is awfully broad and, therefore, practically worthless. Does it relate to people looking to make money online? make money from the govertnament? make money running a hotdog stall? make money from university grants? make money from drug dealing? make money from a 9-to-5 job?

Even if you were getting traffic, that traffic would be so untargeted that the conversions on your site would be simply terrible.

As a general rule of the thumb, it's best to rank for long-tail targeted keywords than for broad keywords.

Find some other long tails related to your niche and target ALOT of keywords instead of 1-2

See being on the ranking is one thing and getting visitors is another thing. If you want traffic then make sure that you rank for those keywords that are really getting a large number of visitors in the searches. You would want to rank for a high number of traffic attracting keywords.

I don't know if you still have your site but, check google webmaster tools and you can see all of the keywords that you rank for and can potentially build up and rank for.

Make sure that you are using the correct traffic attracting keywords. You can be on the top of the searches and not get a single visitor if you are ranking for words that don't attract a large number of visitors on the web. You would want to rank for a high number of traffic attracting keywords.

I also fell into the Broad search instead of exact search bucket, but will tell you that hard work can bring results so do not give up on your site just yet.

I would do this way:
Bulid some of the subpages (posts in WP) for some other keywords that have much more exact monthly searches.
In this way you can receive much more visitors.

For example, "make money from home" has 33,100 exact global searches, and local (for US only) 12,100. If you are able to get to the first Google page with this search term, that would bring you about (if you are, for example, on page 1, 5th place) 100 visitor more per day.
Do this like above for a 5 keyword combination related to money making, and soon you will have 500 UV per day.
