I still don't understand how you do guys wit EMD domains. There are people here that say he make $70 per day in a least of 2 month. Check this - i buy an EMD about 2 nonth ago with 40,500 local EXACT SEARCH (60,500 global EXACT SEARCH) and $8.61 CPC. Keyword from EMD have "About 18,600,000 results" Today this site ranking on #3 on first page on .com globaly and #5 on first page on US and have an an avarage of 150 UV per day, most of them from US. The problem is that i have no click on my adsense. I use 3 block of ads, 2 x 336/280 and 1 x 728/90. You should know the adsense account is new and is used for the first time with this site. Can sombody help me to get some click? |

Welcome to the unpredictable world of Adsense ![]() When doing your keyword research one important factor is to ensure there are many advertisers bidding on a specific keyword... this will ensure you get relevent ads for that keyword and you should also type in your keyword in Google's search engine and visit a site that has Adsense to check how many relevent ads are showing (the more the better). This should be done before you build a site. The other aspect to remember is that some niches/keywords are more Adsense friendly than others. For instance: I have a site in the Business Market that provides info on business ideas - that site gets a crazy CTR (25%+), and then on the other hand I have a site that is in the health niche that gets a measly 5% CTR. But with 150 visitors a day you should be getting a few click regardless of your niche. Ensure you have a rectangular or square block within your content and above the fold - you can wrap it to the right or to the left or you can place it after your first paragraph of text (test each position). You can also add a small square ad in your sidebar and a link unit in your sidebar as well. Try and limit the ad blocks to 2 if there aren't many advertisers in your niche. If there are a whole lot of advertisers then you can also ad a banner at the end of your content. If that layout doesn't work try adding the leaderboard type ad in your header below your site's title. The above is just a reference: you will have to test, test and test some more to find the best layout for your site. |

Don't rely on just one website to make you money, especially with adsense. You need to create an army of them and then keep the highest paying ones and sell off the rest. There are going to be some sites that aren't going to make you anything, or next to nothing; you must be prepared for this. However, I find it strange that with that much traffic you are getting nearly nothing for clicks. Even at 1% CTR you should be getting a click a day ( which still isn't very much ) What Elva8 said is correct though; you need to make sure there is enough advertisers for for the niche or keyword that you are trying to target. Better ad placement is good too. An ad above the fold is usually a must. Sometimes one after the content does good too. It really depends on the niche. I would play around with your ad placements ( follow the Google heat map ) and see where that takes you. In the mean time I would advise you to start creating another site; like I mentioned you can't rely on just one site to make you your money. -- Jeff |

use heatmaptheme and add more content targeting many keywords. Tip: use keywords as Titles and continue creating quality back links.

| I looked at your site. You should know that "eminem quotes" does NOT have a CPC of $8.61; not even close. Spyfu has the CPC showing as $0.49-$0.61. I wouldn't expect to make a killing off of those keywords.

Hello OP, We have a ton of niche sites and have some in a similar area, actually. Much of CTR depends on the niche/keyword and not the ad placement, but you might want to just try moving the ads around a bit. What we haven't tried (and you might want to) is to try to find offers around Eminem that you can provide for sale on the site (posters, cd's, movies, etc.) I can't see lots of advertisers around that keyword, but there are products around that keyword. |

I think you just wont find related adsense ads in thw eminem niche. That seems to be the biggest problem. It is like ranking first for eminem lyrics... Noone is going to click on any ads once they are there. The best chance that you have to raise your ctr is to have reeeally interesting image ads, even if they are irrelevant. |

Yea I was about to say the same thing. I have zero incentive to click your ads. You need to think psychologically when it comes to the adsense game..i can guarantee that not many people approach site building for adsense income like this: 1) pick out a niche where people like to find out more information about something 2) hopefully it's a niche where people BUY stuff 3) build site content around entry and exit points..your exit point are your ads 4) provide enough content on your site to make it worthwhile and allows you to give the end user an enjoyable viewing experience 5) but get them OFF your site through psychological redirects out through the ads. |

Celebrity sites typically do much worse than other sites for generating clicks. I had a Justin Bieber site once and got about 250-300 UV a day, but some days would only get 1 click on an ad and other days none. On a good day I would get about 5 clicks. Also, the cpc was really not great and I ended up selling the site. On the other hand, I also had an insurance site. I only got about 10 UV a day. lol. But you know what? When I got a click, it was always over $10 a click. I made more on that site in a week than Justin Bieber in a month. |

The competition for the keyword "eminem quotes" is 0, there are practically no advertisers bidding on that keyword, that's the problem.

When you a considering a keyword make sure you have checked if their are any advertisers, if so you are good to go with that keyword but if their are no advertisers their is no way for you to earn .

Hi, As most people have said there are no advertisers for this keyword. You may get good traffic, but if the keyword is not in demand, you will most likely not earn much money with adsense. Also I see that the ads are not relavant to your content, I just saw some dating ads and that's definatly not clickable for your visitors. My suggestion is to go for buying keywords or problem keywords, like products or treatments, I've noticed that these kind of niches earn more then $1 per click mostly. Try to find niches that are helpful for people that are looking for solutions or treatments. I can guarentee a much higher CTR and more adsense earnings in these kind of niches. Also next time make sure to check on Spyfu, to see how many advertisers, the more advertisers, the more demand and money there is to be made in that particular niche. Good luck! |

perhaps 150UV is not really enough. Try to get more and making sure your adsense placement are correct at prominent place. If your site is general informational site, then CTR could be lower comparing to a site which is niched. If your site is niched site, you should get at least 1-3% CTR.

Hi karismasand After reading the OP, and visited your site, I feel like there are lots of distractions especially images. You may need to test a little on adv colors, adv placement, and also images in the content(images may steal the focus from reading the ads). You may experiment this to improve your CTR. |

Thank you guys for all suggestion! Today the site makes 300 UV and only one click, very cool, NO? I learn my lesson and i do make some research and i find a EMD with 135.000 local exact search, a lot of advertiser (estimate 800 clicks daily), a CPC around to $1 and very low competition. This week i will build a new custom site and i will put online. I will tell you what happen. Good luck to everyone!!! |

For AdSense I suggest you use woothemes (canvas or freshnews) or CTR theme. i own both but i now use woothemes because it looks better, even though it has lower CTR. | |
