So today I checked my two sites displaying Adsense, and the display ads are no longer showing up. However, the search bar ads are still showing up. I can log into my Adsense account and I can see stats (2 impressions today?) fine. All my ads still show up as "Active" in Adsense. I haven't gotten an e-mail from Google. What gives? Has anyone experienced something like this before? PS: The two sites are on different Hostgator accounts. |

The problem might be caused by the Adsense bot having crawl difficulties on your site. Subtle configuration changes in the DNS zone of your site could be a reason. I've noticed this too on some of my sites. Sometimes all of a sudden, the ads on your site disappear, or they become untargeted. This could be why all of us sometimes, have lower impressions or bad days in Adsense, without realizing that the problem could be due to the hosting or the condition of the network connection. If the problem happens often enough, cannot be resolved, and you've changed nothing on your site, it *may* indicate that you need to move your site to another host. |

Try opening a different browser and checking them. Sometimes Adsense displays ads that are relevant to content you surfed earlier (strangely enough!) This can cause your ads to disappear or seem unrelated. |

So I FINALLY figured out what it is after switching back to the old Adsense. It is because I have not inputted my pin yet. It gave me this message "Your pages are displaying blank ad units because you haven't yet verified your PIN and/or phone number." That is really weird because they said in another section of Adsense that my earnings will continue to accrue and my ads will continue to display until I enter in a pin. Weird. Anyway, I've requested a pin twice and they still haven't sent it. What to do next? |

So I was finally able to bypass the pin verification. Once you max out your PIN requests you can then use this form: http://www.google.com/adsense/suppor...ification&rd=2 To upload a scanned copy of a photo ID along with a piece of mail with your address on it to bypass the PIN. I submitted a copy of a bank statement, my passport, my driver's license, and another federal ID...and they got back to me in less than 5 minutes saying that my address is now verified and I do not need to enter in a pin. Wala! So if anyone is experiencing the same problem...that is the solution. I probably went overboard with the passport and all...but erh. |
