Social Bookmarking sites Question

Is there any juice from social bookmarking? I mean dofollow backlinks. If so, could you let me have some of them?

Mostly social bookmarking sites are nofollow including stumble upon and digg. Social bookmarking is good for only one time traffic.

And I found it a great for indexing a newly created website though.

This is an inaccurate statement. Social bookmarking is not only good for short traffic. Bookmarking should be huge role in any link building campaign.

Mazdak was asking about link juice. You can create lots of good link juicer using the bookmark, rss, and ping method. This will create lots of link juice flowing from high authority sites.

Google indexes no follow links. They also use no follow authority backlinks to rank your sites.

the biggest effect that building links on bookmarking sites is not the short "one time traffic" that akki313;4651046 was referring to. There is not a lot of traffic that will come from the bookmarking sites.

You will get some but the main bulk of traffic is going to come when your site ranks for the targeted keywords. Createing anchor links on the bookmarking sites needs to play a role in any link building traffic for long term traffic.

i am agree with GaryG4, i use social bookmarking for stable rankings and i am getting much traffic from google due to do follow social bookmarking.

Slashdot said they are no longer supporting new bookmarks.

Bookmarking Demon suggests making your own social bookmarking site, along with submitting to others. I did that and have gotten backlinks from the sites I created, but you just have to be careful to make sure you vary your links. For awhile, I was having too many going straight to my site. Now I'm bookmarking every page that has a link to one of my sites. Makes it look more varied and, hopefully, natural.

My experience says "you are incorrect".. I have 1 technology niche authority website to which I submit around 3 articles a day (written by my writer as I'm bad in writing content). Then I submit those 3 articles to my list of top 10 social bookmarking websites.

Due to the awesome content on my niche sites it receive good number of diggs and SU and get good traffic from social bookmarking sites. (75% of the traffic I receive is from digg and SU alone)

But after 5 days the post that receives around 1000 visitors on the first day of submissions receives only 100-150 only and finally receives 10-20 at the end of the month.

I have over 3000+ links from social bookmarking websites and wohaa!! my site is nowhere in google for my main keywords.

I use only social bookmarking method to receive traffic and trust me they are useless if you are thinking to create a link building campaign using these sites.

Well there is nothing that is going to change your mind about much. That's fine. I'm only here to help the ones that actually are open to learning new things.

Using only Social Bookmarking will only bring you short term traffic as you are experiencing and already know. (you're correct about that)...

my point is to use social bookmarking as a tool in your link building campaigns... do you know what a link building campaign is?

Its where you diversify your links... that means you build links in a number of places. Having links at high PR sites is key to high rankings. You must also have links from...

article directories
authority blogs
high authority websites on the niche
forums
social network sites like Facebook,YouTube,Twitter
.edu links
.gov links
etc. etc.

There are hundreds of places to get links and if you want to rank for
your keywords in the natural organic search results you have to utilize a lot of them and have strong deep linking.

Relying only on social bookmarking is not going to get you high rankings... even if they are on high pr sites. They only help. And to get to the top The big "G" wants to see them.
