Default Big doubts about Actuallyrank.com

Hi guys, I waited with great anticipation to join up to Actuallyrank. At the time, they'd "sold out", so I figured it must be a great service.

I have since joined up and over half of the blogs I comment on, are nofollow. It clearly states on their homepage, that the links are do follow, which is the ONLY point to the service.

Furthermore, a massive proportion of the sites listed are non English, along with some completely dead links.

The final issue with their system, is that there is no way to sort by date. So many of the blogs listed are from 2007, which makes new comments look dodgy anyway.

The way I see it, is more care should be taken by Actuallyrank, when giving us the sources. They're earning an absolute FORTUNE from subscriptions and could definitely invest some of that profit in to better filtering and detection.

Any tips on how to better use their service? Any other experiences?

Pacto, there are some dofollow but they are definitely not all do follow, I'd actually say less than half.

I don't know anything about it. I'm just beginning to blog so thank you for posting this. I'll just stay away from it. Getting burned hurts, so far, it seems only facebook and some app are all that have been a problem for me. Figures, I hate FB to begin with. It helps to see real marketers posting real problems with supposedly great services.

You also need to consider, that only a small number of those you submit, will be accepted. Especially as so many in the list are old blog posts.

I'll keep testing and see if I get any value from it.

In general, don't trust sites that promise something, and then deliver something else.
