Hi, Guys I have some questions basically about link building and actually laying out A link building campaign for new sites without getting sandboxed. I have had problems with this ever since trying to break into IM. I always seem to get sandboxed or even deindexed once after reaching page 1 for target keywords or getting around page 1 for target keywords. Ive just setup A new site and am quite paranoid at the moment as far as building links. I am hesitating to order some link services or build too many links on my own. I guess I havent quite figured out the proper way to space things out and how many links to build per day etc. Then there are other variables that come into play such as the fact that some links take longer to be indexed then others. This has been very frustrating for me. So thought I would post A question here before proceeding with this new site. I dont have 8 months to sit in the sandbox for every site that i build. Any advice would be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks Rick |

I try to approach everything completely "naturally", while being as consistent as possible. It's a fact that just a handful of high quality backlinks are worth thousands and thousands of low quality ones. Also, I just don't worry about the dofollow and nofollow hangup. Some of each appear much more natural. And don't disregard on-page seo, this will provide a solid foundation to build upon. Don't be paranoid, just be consistent.

As Annie pointed out above, consistency is important for mantaining a natural looking linking building process to your site. Starting out with some social bookmarks and some high PR and/or EDU links to your site is recommended. And then be consistent with a handful of quality links each week. Then move up to 5-10 links per day. If you want to blast out 1,000+ links to your site with article marketing software or profile links you will run the risk of being sandbox IF they are directed towards your site. However, if you can still use this approach of blasting out a bunch of links but make sure it is at a seperate page like a Web 2.0 property, blog, or article that is linking to your site. That way you will have the link juice transfer effect and will benefit from the links without the risk of your site getting sandboxed. |

Thanks for the replies. I certainly believe the google sandbox is real because I have seen it first hand. Going from page 1 all the way to the back of the index or being completely deindexed altogether. I dont do any cloaking or anything dirty. I think with new domains at least for certain keywords... If you are building too many links and flying too high too fast google will filter out the site. At least until the domain or the backlinks you are getting age.

Have you people never heard the word, viral? De-index is not a sandbox. Sandbox means google is personally burying your site. Newsflash: Google could care less about you and is NOT doing anything personal to your site, no matter how great you are, and think google should love you forever and ever. Paul | |

Just build quality sites and you wont have to worry about getting sandboxed. You wont see a well-made site with quality content be sandboxed because of 1000+ backlinks. But crap sites will...because they are crap...not because of backlinks.... The 1000+ backlinks probably bring attention to it that it is crap. |
