Hi, What is a good way to find out if backlinks have been placed on a list of URLs? I am using this for checking through if blog comments type backlinks have been posted. Example: if a page (eg. backlinksite.com/article.html) contains a link back to my site (mysite.com). Are there any utilities or software programs that can check these backlinks in bulk? This is not about whether the URLs exist, have been crawled or indexed, but whether the links are actually on them. Thanks. |

I guess you could go back to the site and see if your link is there. Other than that, just waiting for software or google/yahoo to index/show them to you. |

You can use backlink checker. Just Google backlink checker and you should come across it.

Yes Scrapebox is excellent for this, you can put the URLs you are checking in against the backlink URL and it will search the page for any link that matches your list. PM me and I'll do it for you if you don't want to buy Scrapebox yet. |

Thanks for all the replies, and the tip about using Scrapebox. @dadamson - thanks for your offer to check the links as well! I found the Scrapebox link checker available for free here: Free Link Checker - ScrapeBox This program does exactly what I was looking for as described in the opening post. I ran a test of about 500 links. I did notice that for checking blog comments on pages with lots of outbound links, the result is not always accurate, but still very helpful. This checker is probably only a small part of Scrapebox, and I am sure the full suite has a lot of other things to offer. I'll take the free tool for now. Thanks everyone for your help. |

Just remember it takes time to get these links indexed and not all of them will be found. | |
