My main keyword on my index page gets quite low searches per month so I would like to find out how to optimise my site for a second keyword, but im not sure how to go about this, or if it's wise I would be grateful if someone could point me to a relevant tutorial for advice. Ive tried to google up info but found nothing suitable. Hope someone can help.. |

You would have to some how incorporate it into your title of your site, header, description and then get keyword links to your site with that title. My site on gaming is target towards 3 keywords and it ranks in all of them well

Thanks for the quick reply Tmill! Should I build pages with the 2nd and third keywords and incorporate them into/throughout my site? You see Ive got over 100 pages on the site and Im wondering how to 'disperse' these keyword in the site. If that makes any sense. |

Remember, google treats each PAGE on your site differently. Create a new page for each keyword you want to be optimized for. Then build backlinks to that page for that given keyword ( plus a few others so that all your anchor text isn't the same. ) -- Jeff | |

creating a new page can be helpful but not to that extend if you are ranking for only one keyword then its better to target 2nd keyword for same page by inserting that keyword in meta tags-title and description. because creating a new page having PR 0 will not rank fast but for homepage you will get fast ranking as you must be having some PR for that page. according to guidelines you can target upto 5 keywords for a single page. |
