Hello all, I have a pet related blog that gets around 9000 unique visitors per month from search engines, mainly Google, I have tried different adsense themes, even the CTR theme but just can’t seem to get the clicks to come.. It gets searched for by around 5085 different keyphrases Yet only made $104 last month from it. Any ideas? I really appreciate any ideas you may have.. Regards, Dennis |

Have you tried advertising targeted affiliate products using banners on that site? It all depends on what niche this site is in and what the searchers are looking for, that will be the main deciding factor in monetizing your site. If it is an info seeker niche, then adsense is the right way to monetize, if it is a buyer niche, you need affiliate products |

What kind of pets? if its cats? I am sure you can sell cat products on there and make commissions from that. Same with most other types of pets. Why use Adsense, IMO it is widely regarded by a lot of people as not only very picky and likely to dellist sites cancel accounts, but they dont pay for sh*t search pet affiliate programs on Google how about one like this? http://www.petco.com/petco_Page_PC_a...teprogram.aspx |

I would think Petco just has a well not sure, good question there must be a way maybe they give you different links for different pets, if they understand at all how the web works they would have to do that |

Dennis, I have a custom banner advertising blog monetization plugin that I am planning to launch as a WSO soon, maybe you can test that plugin on your site as a review copy if you like as it might be the right solution to your problem. With this plugin, you can show different banners, for different types of pets, for example for cat related stuff, you can show cat related products, for dogs, dog related products and so on and you dont have to put in banners post by post, it works based on keywords in your content of the posts and pages. You create a campaign, and put in a keyword say, cat training, and then get an html code for a cat training banner and you are done! It will then show cat training banner only on cat training pages ![]() Then, you just create a new campaign with a new keyword and new banner for a diff keyword and so on... PM me if you are interested to know more about it |

Looks like you have mostly people who just want to get a free info so I see to way to do: a) build most site like that to get more traffic at the end more money b) target different keyword for terms for which people are more likely to buy.

People click adsense if they are looking for further information - if your site supplies all the info they need, they won't click! Like others say, try switching to offering to sell a product (via amazon or some other affiliate). You may get better conversions |

Sell banner ads to local pets stores will be a good idea, one of my friends running a pet hospital website, and he makes so much money than I run almost 10 websites.

1. IF adsense is not working for you try Ebay or Pet related affiliates. There are quite a lot of ebook you can sell via your site. 2. Selling links or banner on your site can also make you decent money. 3. OR you can just sell the site on Flippa! |

Stop messing around with Adsense and start selling really good affiliate programs you'd buy yourself (not just ones with high gravity) go and check out a few different networks. Then add some text links (which always convert higher than pictures) into each blog post (make it relevant). Seeing as it's a pet blog, each post relates to a different type of pet? Then you could target a product relating to that pet in each post? But to be honest with you $100, isn't that bad. However if you found a product with an effective sales page and you wrote enticing text links you income could easily double. Sam |

instead of simple text ads, try banner ads. They would be more attractive and increase you click rate.
