(I was told to move this thread here!) What is the best way to set up a website for amazon affiliate program? Would it be to find a single product, and the the exact domain for it with review in it as well, and set up a couple reviews of the product and links to amazon? Or would it be to go a bit broader and instead of something like ChicagoBullsReviews.com do like NBAteamreviews.com and have a bunch of different teams (of course just an example) So basically Im asking, is it smarter to a build a site around a single product with an exact domain, or build a website that offers different types of products, all in the same niche, that relate to each other, and then getting a more general domain. Thank you! |

Depending on what you want... for me, NBAteamreviews.com will get more traffic but conversion rate will be lower compared to chicago =)

I've been focusing on a specific niche (not too broad) rather than one particular model/product. If I were to use your analogy for example... Basketball = General product NBA = specific product LA Lakers = specific brand for that product Kobe Bryant = specific model for that brand I would focus on "NBA" and then include the particular models as inner pages separated by categories, which would be the brands. |

| Ya I see what youre saying. I have another question as well. How would I go about setting up an amazon affiliate website? This will be my first one, so I have no experience doing so. Load it up with reviews of the product, linking to amazon? and maybe some informational articles? Would I do separate pages for all of these, or articles on one page and reviews on another?

Depends on your niche, specific products are more easily to promote and often have higher conversion rates, but specific also means lower traffic and less earning sources.
