Best backlink strategy?

Wondering if anyone would like to share their most effective backlink strategy?

This is something that I avoid doing myself, I get way too bored and distracted!!

I've been spending $20 a week outsourcing on oDesk, which has put most of my sites on the first page. Having said that, my keywords have had low competition.

I want to take things to the next level, and target bigger keywords, but I think my backlink strategy needs a real boost.

Any ideas?

Oh I also have used a few fiverr gigs, but am not sure how effective they have been...

The best is to write your very best content and hope other webmasters link to you naturally.

There is no other better method.

Have you tried Unique article wizard or the Free Traffic System? Try one of these sites where you spin your article and then it gets drip fed to hundreds of article directory/blog sites. It puts your baclinking virtually on autopilot.

I made a couple of back links today, and my site slipped down a place. I haven't noticed any pattern to what works and what doesn't.

When you say you've been spending $20 a week outsourcing your backlinking to oDesk, what does that mean exactly? I'd be curious to see the job description you're posting on there.

I posted a job there for an SEO worker, to comment on blogs, and do social bookmarking.

I have found lots and lots of blogs on my niche. Its not hard my niche has many blogs but I have noticed when I have commented on a few I end up with like 200 backlinks. Yes 200 through 1 comment!! I noticed this occurs because on there blog set up they have recent comments which appears on every page on their website. What will google make of this?

Backlink strategies? One of the most effective backlinking strategies is diversifying your link building campaign. What I mean is that, getting links from different sources will give a good chance of getting good quality backlinks.
