Ranking Youtube Videos

Good evening guys,

I'm looking for a guide, on ranking Youtube videos, hosted on Youtube.

I have a channel with almost 40,000 subscribers and a decent amount of quality videos.

I've never spent any time attempting to rank the videos, actually at this present moment, I don't even know how.

Is it the same as trying to rank a webpage? Literally fire links at it? Does the Youtube internal search, take links in to account?

Any info/guides etc would be great.

Targeted keywords in description

Keywords in tags

Use quotes on the tags to form keyword phrases "keyword 1" "keyword 2"

Build some links to the videos

Hi Kev, I do all of the above, other than build links to the videos. So YT does count these then? That's good to know.

yes, youtube does count backlink too.

Google has a keyword tool specifically for YouTube searches. https://ads.youtube.com/keyword_tool . Adding high searched keywords from YouTube searches to your title, tags and description will help.

Yes me too i do my best to rank high in youtube i tried once with a certain keyword to rank on the first place when i uploaded it, it was already on the first page then i did some articles submission and told to myself why wouldn't i try to put my youtube link and see if it will help me rank in the first place. then youtube removed completely from their search engine.
Maybe because it was my second video i don't know why

if you want to rank with youtube video then your keyword must be in title and description part, you should create some backlink pointing to your video.
Your can post it to various social networking site to increase its popularity
