whats so good about a link wheel? Does anyone use this method? Anybody had any success with this as i was thinking if you create a web 2.0 site you dont have the page rank of the high pr homepage?

Not alot really. Unless you have may sites in your wheel and make it more of a web it will be very easy for search engines to spot and then devalue your links that might have taken a long time to create. Similarly if one of your links becomes inactive then you have a break in your wheel and it becomes easy to spot and less powerful
