Need help removing pariah status

I seem to be on some sort of blacklist and I'm not able to comment on any blogs anywhere, regardless of platform.

I've never blasted thousands of blogs with generic comments. I comment manually, always reading the post first and writing an on-topic comment. Not in any great quantity either, never much more than 5 per day. And I never post anything negative or derogatory.

Yet, my comments never appear anywhere. I've got one site that has deleted my comment out of hundreds... out of duplicate posts and posts that say "Hi, nice blog"... after the comment has stood for a couple days. That site also seems to be blocking my IP (gives me 404, but it's fine from a different address).

Any way to lift my unversal ban status? The site in question has about a year and a half invested in it. Abandoning the domain name and moving to a new one in the hopes this all doesn't happen next month isn't really going to be that easy.
