Default Mass Link Building to Properties that Point Directly To Newer Site?

Hi, I was wondering if it is safe to build masses of links to web 2.0 properties that point directly to your money site? Like say I have 5 pages on my site.. Each target 1 keyword. I then setup A blogger blog and 4 other properties for each of the 5 keywords and point those freebie sites to the individual pages on my site. Is it safe to do mass article submissions and things like that to each of the blogs pointing to my web site with A newer site?

I know obviously if I start bombing mass article links to all the pages on my new site I will run into problems. But if I send all these links to the blogger blogs and tumblr blogs that point to the pages on my site. Can I do this and build as many links as I want to these freebie blogs without risking any type of penalty to my money site?

Thanks In Advance
Rick

In most cases you would be safe doing this. The most likely "bad" outcome from this would be that Google devalues all those links so you've effectively doe the work for no gain.

I think it would be very unlikely that your money site would get penalised for this technique alone, but much stranger things happen in SEO all the time

That is the basics of a standard strategy for backlinking. The idea being taht established web2.0 sites are much more resilient to mass backlinking than a new money site would be.

Look at Blogger.com with MajesticSEO and it shows some 9billion backlinks to the domain. Your blogger blog will simply be a sub-domain and few hundred links to that will be insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
Generally the web 2.0 properties would be backlinked together (to increase the flow of Google juice) using wheel, pyramid, open wheel or some kind of "network" arrangement.

Plenty to find all about those with a forum or Google search
