My posts dont show up in google? :(

Hi Warriors,

Can someone give me some advice with getting google to index my post. Ive submitted my sitemap to google and also added my URL. My home page shows up in google but none of my posts are getting idexed for some strange reason. Any kind of advice will be great.

How old is your site I assume it isn't very old, right?

It can take a few days for Google to index posts on a new site. You can build backlinks and ping it to try to get it to index faster, but generally it isn't instant.

As your site gets more content, age, and backlinks Google will index everything more quickly.

Ok quick tip for you, if all your posts are linked from your homepage, use pingler.com to ping it to the search engines, add analytics to your homepage and you will be fully indexed within 24 hours

Im using wordpress. How do you use google plus? I havent come across this yet? Thanks for the replies, they have really eased the tension. My other sites seemed to get indexed straight away but for some reason this one is taking its time.

Bookmark the posts that you can't get indexed. If that doesn't help, ping it, tweet it and publish it on the Facebook.

It may take sometime to get your articles indexed in Google.However you can make the process easy by doing some extra tasks like do follow social bookmarking,pinging.

More important is be patient.

Dude it takes up to 6-10 weeks for it to fully be working and to see people searching. If you download the plugin 'sitemap.XML' it updates the sitemap to Google/Bing & Yahoo so it will appear on them all. Also install a SEO plugin on WordPress too! add the keywords into that too which will help.Just give it time then you can start to see traffic. In the mean time use social networks to get the message out on your posts. Try stumble upon I get a good number of views from that per day. Post articles on Squidoo too!

Social bookmark your content.

Make sure it is well written and unique.

Syndicate the content at the top article directories and keep added fresh content and you will have nothing to worry about.

Theme might be another problem. I have released a blog yesterday. Today their all page indexed perfectly.

It usually takes a few hours or days for your content to get indexed. If your website really has no promotion, then maybe a few weeks. Make sure your content is linked to on your home page. Also check your robots.txt.

You can keep resubmitting the site to google or other search engines, but I would suggest just waiting it out.

I see a lot of suggestions for pinging backlinks and articles (here and other places). Will that not eventually get you in trouble for pinging a nonblog site?

If you have not already done so add category widget and recent post widget to your sidebar.

Make sure you have the privacy settings to off, the privacy settings will no index your site! (note you can still appear in google if another site links to a page, but it wont show content from the site).

If you are using an seo plugin check the settings, a lot of those do some stupid things with no follow on links, no index tags etc... trying to be clever and getting it wrong!

Nope! Ping will help your backlinks to crawl. To index backlinks you need something more.

Dont make it complex. Its easy.

After indexing your backlinks soon google will de index low quality backlinks. And you will have to start from the square 1 again. so my opinion is create backlinks to your backlinks. And use any indexing service like NLI or Backlink energizer.
