Default Blog Commenting Dead for SEO (using Scrapebox)?

What do you guys think?

I've seen through networks like Matt LaClear or Isac (similar service - check his WSO), that SERPs raise almost instantly with article marketing on private networks.

Even though I put 1k or more indexed comment links on my sites per month, I think Google has wised up and basically devalued them almost completely.

Profile links seem dead as well.

I'm sure comments have SOME value, just WAY less than before.

Are private blog networks the future of SEO?

Yes private blogs will defintely help you.

Check out backlinksforum.com

they have a bunch of private blog networks there.

I have seen sites rank for just blog comments. It all depends on the competetion of you keyword and the quality of the blog comment links

I think they aren't as much in Google because Google leans toward anchor text back-links more than Yahoo and Bing. And a majority of the time in blog comments you have to use your name as the anchor text because if you use your keyword they will reject your post. This is why I think the are becoming less successful.

Google has intimated that part of the Panda updates includes recognizing & devaluing these types of 'lo-value' backlinks.

Blog comments still work a lot better than forum profile links seem to be working right now. Though you can just as easily make some high quality manual blog comments on high PR blogs that get you better results than a bunch of autoposted comments. (I would only use those to boost my tiered backlinks).

Private blog networks are soon to be a thing of the past as well, especially those created by people that don't have proper experience. A rather large and extensive network was just completely deindexed by Google this past week.

The problem with private blog networks is that the footprints they leave behind are too large, and the type of content thats posted is typically garbage, rehashed, content that no true blog would ever post. Google's wised up to this with the recent Panda update and I'm sure they've rolled out several new bots to help combat these types of networks.

I'd be cautious of your run of the mill blog networks that allows anyone to buy a subscription and post content.

Blog commenting still works but as it was mentioned, the quality of your site and the competition are important factors.

Blog comments have always been an incredible resource for SEO for several reasons.

Because blog owners are always looking for comments for their content, most high authority high traffic blogs allow comments. For internet marketers, this means blog commenting is an incredibly effective way to get a lot of backlinks quickly.

Although there are many changes taking place in the world of search engines,I believe blog commenting remains an effective strategy – for now, at least...

I think your are right.

Blog commenting is waste of time, because most of do follow blogs are going to put no follow attribute and there is lots of spamming happening that affect our website

Just Mix Blog Comments with your "normal" Linkbuilding. Dont just do Blog comment Post because you have to build naturaly. If you want to get Ranking on short Termin 1-2 Wekks you can spam your brain.

But i always get higher points for blog comment than forum .
Most of time a forum do get score below 200 only per backlink.

Is the best we stay at article writing to build backlink, most quality backlink always came from article content.

if you don't know how to filter high pr dofollow blog comments and how to post to them then it will result to say BLOG COMMENT DOES NOT WORK,if you know then you will say BLOG COMMENT WORKS. I should say high pr dofollow blog comment is still one of the best type of backlinks

Blog commenting is a lot deeper than just scrapebox blasting. Read up other ways of using scrapebox for backlinks

Not dead at all, just needs to be used appropriately. So many people are blasting away without thinking.

Actually Matt, neither of us did a very good job of reading the OP.

Although he did mention you, he was talking about his blog comments getting devalued. He never said anythiing, nor did anyone else, about your network being deindexed or devalued.

So we each get half credit right?

I totally agree. Private blog networks are now being penalized by Google Panda. Spun articles submission is now becoming a history.

If you want to build high quality and relevant back-link, then focus with guest blogging. It's a WIN-WIN strategy.

I have a 4-year old do-follow blog. I sell ad space and accept paid blog posts and links for reasonable and affordable costs. For more details contact me directly at empressofdrac[at]gmail[dot]com. And oh, I also accept Guest Article Submission.

Blog commenting is still a very valid and useful linkbuilding method. If however you blast 200000 links to your main site using Scrapbox or some other tool, you are sure to get penalised. Manual link building is the way to go.

The death of blog commenting has been greatly exaggerated. If you mean longterm then yes, it's not "normal" for webmasters to have sites that are free for all for spam so it only makes sense that eventually these links/sites fall by the wayside. At least with high pr networks you get a long term link, even if you have to pay a bit more for it, and run the risk of one day (maybe not) being deindexed and losing a large chunk of your link portfolio.

Backlinksvault - wholesale link building
BacklinksIndexer - automated index/bulk links
TwitterBacklinks - retweets service
Web2.0Backlinks - web2.0 creation/link building

Use blog commenting (scrapeblox blasts in articular) on tiers 1 and 2 levels on your link pyramids. I wouldn't recommend it on your money site's homepage but I'd definitely blast my inner pages with thousands of SB links.
