So, normally I use the CTR theme, but I'm working on an authority site and wanted to use a different theme. I know absolutely nothing about code, and have spent the last 2 hours on google/youtube trying to figure out how to add adsense to my site. I'm using a free Woo Theme and would appreciate any help. I tried the following plugins: Insert Adsense - does not work Quick Adsense - link units run through title text Easy Adsense - it appears he puts an affiliate link in there, and some ads have weird text at the top of them Could anyone point me in the right direction? Really frustrated right now. |

After you create an ad, just copy and paste the HTML code they give you wherever you want to the ads to appear. So in your sidebars widgets or in your articles.

It could be that your particular Woo Theme does not have the correct size ad boxes for AdSense. This is a common issue. Unfortunately you will need to choose a new theme or have a designer customize the code for you. You could try it yourself, as Woo Themes has great support and their ninjas are very helpful. I would suggest just hiring an outsourcer cheaply and getting it done right, however. |

I appreciate the responses so quick. Is there another free Wordpress theme anyone would recommend? I tried copy/pasting the code as 36burrows recommended, but it didn't work out. I'm not sure how to make words wrap, etc. I'm just not code savvy. |

ooh you want to wrap the adsense block in text? For this you want to use... <div style="float: right; margin: 5px 5x 5x 5x;"> PASTE ADSENSE CODE HERE </div> You can change the right/left to the side you want. Also, you can change the numbers around to adjust the position. |

Do I put that code under the HTML tab? Also, where did you learn this information? I'm really looking for a place I can go read up on this so I don't have to ask dumb questions on this forum |

Yes, you put this into the HTML tab. On top of the line of text that you wish to wrap it in. Try it and test it out. As you test out, you will learn. I learned all of these things on Google. ex. How to wrap adsense in text wordpress or How to add adsense to sidebar wordpress, how to change header image wordpress, how change font size wordpress, etc.... |
