Default Your Thoughts - Google doesn't care about your blackhat tricks

I'm interest in some of your thoughts...

We all know that SEO is a game with Google. They want to deliver Kick ass content, while we just want to get to number #1

I've seen so many sites that use blackhat tricks like dofollow comment spamming, profile backlinks, etc... get to the top of google and stay there while other eventually get sandboxed...

So is it safe to say, if the site provides good quality content, the ways you get backlinks means little? you know google is recording the page times and bounce rate on all search results. So if your site has a low bounce rate and a lot of content it will stay in top placement, even if it's obviously been gamed. For example, I'm watching a couple 4 month old domains with 5,000 backlinks stay #2 on Google for a high traffic keyword for weeks now.... come on 5,000 in 4 months, you would think that's obvious to Google, but if the content is good, and people are happy, who cares...

the ends justify the means I guess...

Your Thoughts?
