Good content Good onpage seo Lots of backlinks I learned how to do really effective seo from a book by Brad Callen called SEO Made Easy. Dont know if its been updated at all but most of what I learned from it is still relevant today. Search for him on Google, I believe the book still can be found. |

What the previous posters said. But I also noticed that when I get backlinks from high PR sites and .edu/.gov to single pages on the domain, that the specific page/post could also get a higher PR rather than the total domain. |

Usually what is really wanted is traffic. However, PR and traffic are not necessarily related at all. I have a low PR site that gets good daily traffic and good click through on my products. I have heard many other pointy-headed people echo the same thing: their low PR sites often get better traffic than their higher PR sites. Also, my site ranks very well, i.e. near the top of the first page, for many keyword combinations. So, personally, I would set the goal of targeted traffic, not PR. Just my two cents... | |

Yup, High PR back links is the keyword. You also have to check the nofollow. Nowadays there are lots of NoFollow on forum commenting so you will have to search harder

Build up a link-wheel style matrix around your site using Web2 sites. This provides plenty of high quality backlinks which will boost your PR. |

Plenty of back links and wait for google to update . They don't have fix time to update . So if you building links from past 6 months you might see the PR changes or not .

well, first of all check your on site content, keywords and title then make a comprehensive SEO plan through putting your links on the sites with high PR and index your site in good directories and in advance, run a social media campaign for it.
