Default Page Titles

I am still figuring out the google tools (I know, I'm late on that), but I noticed where it said I had 400 duplicate page titles.

My main keyword is Universal Life Church, so I put that in all the page titles, along with the other words pertinent to the page.

Should I only have that phrase on the front page then?

Is it hurting me to have that?

On the other pages, for instance, I'd put 'Online Ordination - Universal Life Church' or 'Buddhism Course - Universal Life Church', etc.

Should I remove the Universal Life Church part on other other pages?

It is very common to have a site set up like that, particularly wordpress sites.
I have sites set up like that and have never had an issue with Google sending a notice like that.
If G came down on sites doing that they would be struggling for sites to put in the index!

If I were you I would take a really good look at your site.

Start checking your site in Google with the site:yourdomain.com search and allintitle: operator and see if there is anything else going on.

For example, have you ended up with search, category, archive, comment, or tag pages getting indexed with the same titles?

allintitle: operator

How does this work exactly? And this one isn't a wordpress site. It's a regular php site and it just says they are duplicates, but I'm unclear if it says that merely for information or letting me know it's a problem.

Thank you.

I have check you website and i think there is no short cute to do this, excepting blocking all pages those have duplicate titles, but it's not a good idea.

I suggest you to rewrite titles according to page contents

So putting that on every page is too much? The competition does it and has PR4 on even their smaller pages.
