Google KW tool vs Market Samurai

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here... how come google keyword too and market samurai show different results for the same keyword? If MS gathers its results from Google shouldn't they be the same.

Googe keyword tool tends to show me twice as many global monthly searches than MS does for the same keyword. I presume I'm missing something, not sure what it is though.

You check it on daily search in MS and not monthly

they use the same database not sure how they spit out the results, but make sure you choose exact...............on the google kw tool

all the kw tools spit out slightly different numbers I usually compare MS, google adwords tool and SEObook

+1. It's a good idea to compare metrics using a few different tools, ESPECIALLY backlinks. I use 3 different backlink checkers and they all give me sometimes startlingly different results.

The difference between the two tools is more than double.

"keyword phrase" in MS = 2772 monthly
"keyword phrase" Google Keyword tool = 6600 monthly

Market Samurai pulls it's data directly from the Google Keyword Tool so it's not surprising that the results are similar. Do you know where Keyword Elite gets it's information?

Just about every single keyword tool will have different data. The best you can do is see if one keyword is better then another.

And can anyone tell me if Wordtracker is still relevant?

Market Samurai is little bit slower, it pulls all the data from google adwords keyword tool. I take google an authority, so whenever there is a conflict, i take side of Big G.

I will still go for Google adwords tool.

As I know that Both result is same because they comes from on search engine. It is possible that Market samurai is slower so result comes late then google.

MS and GKT are giving different results is a common knowledge,even it almost happens to other tools too,sometimes the same sometimes not...no perfect tools...but with advanced tools you can go further than GKT...
