I saw another thread saying that they're charging money now. It really does seem like an unwise move on their part since I can see floods of people leaving the network once they find out. I mean, what kind of perk do you get for keeping your blog on their network anyways?

I guess the biggest perk would be additional submission credits. The more submission credits you have the more articles that you can submit on a daily basis.

So, essentially, if you were to pay for the network as well as have your own blogs in the system, you could submit more articles which would mean more boost in the search results and more money in your pocket.

I may be wrong, but I believe paying for the network is optional? I think you can still just use the credits from having your blogs in the system, but for those that do not want to add blogs to the system, they can just pay a monthly fee and get submission credits.

If that is the case, its not hurting the current customers at all, just enabling the ALN owners to bring in additional revenue and continue building on the network. Which in turn, would probably make it a better network in the long run.
