Hi Everyone, I have a friend who had a crazy woman spew a lot of defamatory lies about her and it's now on the front page of Google whenever someone searches for her name. She's hell bent on DIY reputation repair and asked me to write a couple of articles for her. She asked me to write two articles. Keyword density of her full name - 2% in one 250-word article and 4% in another 250-word article. Now, she's asking what article directories she can post them in... I know for sure that Ezine won't accept (I sent her the editorial guidelines, but she just wouldn't listen)... Does anyone know DO FOLLOW article directories that allow the person's name as the anchor text as well as the subject of the article? I have no idea how to go about this. HELP! |

Are you trying to automate the things. With AMR you can insert the name as an anchor text in Authors Bio section and Resource Box as well. There is a big fuss between dofollow and no follow but i believe that backlink is a backlink and works as an authority in the eyes of google.

Hi @dmpach I have found a useful way to dominate the top results within search engines for both individual names and also brand name terms is to set up multiple social networking profiles with the specific name as a vanity url. Twitter, Facebook, and Linkedin are three free and easy sources to use. I know it's slightly off topic of what you are looking at at the moment but they are good options to consider for reputation management if you haven't done so already. |

Honestly - depending upon the business - does it rely upon it's reputation? Local? National? I 1st would tell the the websites posting the defamatory content that I am going to first file a grievance with their home state (state of business / domain registration). I would then contact Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc... & ask for index removal of inaccurate content. I would then file a civil injury lawsuit based on the laws of where you live. Unfortunately, the Internet is still quite the frontier with few laws & ever fewer ways of making those laws stick - Hello Cyber Space. Hope I helped, L |

If she doesn't have a common name, having her name in title alone should help with article submissions. I'm not sure if she owns a business but it could be titled something like Tips From firstname lastname on Garage Cleaning etc. If she has a business, getting her customer reviews on google places, yelp etc will be helpful. In addition to the good ideas about twitter and facebook, some social bookmarking sites have people's name as username or tags so that can be another way to get exposure for her name and supplant the other pages.
