How long for backlinks to show results?

Over the past week i have put 2,000 backlinks into one of my websites. they are indexed and show up in yahoo site explorer, however, my site has not moved up or down a single position the entire week. Does this mean the backlinks are worthless or just give it more time?

it is not only backlink that will determine your ranking. there are other factors too.

as for the backlink too its not just any backlink that will move you up, you have create effective backlinks

you have to make sure that the sites you're getting the backlinks are high page rank sites

.edu and .gov are more preferred

the page you're getting the backlinks from should have the same keywords as that of your site if not the backlinks are useless

i hope you're not using some software to generate low quality backlinks

Try more search on this forum or google to learn how to creaet quality backlinks

You need to create QUALITY backlinks, from a variety of site types, building links more and more by weeks/months.

First thing is Yahoo shows all kind of bakclinks whether it is no follow or do follow. First you have to make sure your link attribute, if they are do follow it means, You need to update some content so that google would like to re crawl you pages and then ranking will move

Without telling us WHAT backlinks were created, we can't really identify your problem.

Beings you did 2,000 in one week, I wouldn't expect anything greater than blog comments or forum profiles.

Just b/c they are showing up in yahoo site explorer does mean they have been indexed by google.

the quality of the links will determine your result and also the competition....if the competition is so tough then you need more quality backlinks and also another optimization
