Hi all, Well, I got an "Ad Serving Disabled On One Of Your Sites" email recently; just one site, fortunately. The reasons cited were that the site was "adult" or had "sexual health" content. I would beg to differ; it had the name of the male private parts in the domain, but dealt strictly with a cosmetic skin condition. Anyhow, fair play. Now I know to stay away from that kind of keyword, although there was nothing remotely adult about the site; all the ads appearing related to skin conditions and itch creams. Anyhow, since Adsense serving has been disabled on that domain, but it is still ranking well in the SERPs, would you say it's safe to monetize it in some other way? Last month the site had over 4000 page views. When I say "safe", I mean safe in the eyes of Google. If I don't have their ads running on it, even if I did at one point, is there no harm in putting whatever other sort of monetization on there, say a CPA offer or affiliate offer? Thanks for your input. Best Regards |

Wow the example you just gave is scary - anyone could get banned from adsense and I mean ANYONE. Maybe Amazon.com ads would make good ones for general traffic, because its such a common site to shop at with so many different kinds of items to choose from... basically amazon has everything you could buy. Similar affiliate programs as well, such as eBay. |

You can try Adbrite which is also very good.

I've not yet explored other contextual networks; I love Adsense and intend to stick with it; it'd just be a shame to let this domain go to waste since it has okay traffic and rankings. Thanks for the suggestions thus far; I might look at Adbrite - and I'd forgotten that I have an old Amazon affiliate account I could possibly put to use. Cheers |

There's a very similar thread on here about someone also being banned. CPA seems to be the way to go. |

Sorry to "hear" about your site ![]() Sure you can safely monetize the site with other passive revenue resources. Google will not penalize your site for not running AdSense on it (Google actually claims that it doesn't favor sites running AdSense over other sites). Here are some alternatives to AdSense that you can try: eBay Partner Network Vibrant Media Chitika Kontera There are others, but these in my experience pay the best. Unfortunately though, none of them comes even close to AdSense in revenue generation. But if you can't use AdSense, I guess you have no other choice. On the other hand, you can try CPA offers or Affiliate marketing. You might find that you will make more money than running ads served by the above mentioned networks. To your success, Tony Alves |

Yeah adsense is effing terrible. Sure it can pay out alright, but I am not sure how anyone could be comfortable basing their lively hood on googles random stupidity Also, it pales in comparison to using your site to make an email list or to promote CPA offers |

Hi Bummed.out, Other posts in this thread have given some great options for you, I would highly recommend eBay's partner network (epn) which is basically you get paid per click for driving traffic to eBay. However before applying make sure you read up on what their website requirements are. There are large volumes of sites not being accepted for epn. One of the reasons I feel, is based on the demand of sites wanting to join they (eBay) can be choosy and they are. Well worth considering and if it only means making a few minor adjustments to your site(s) worth every bit of the effort. One thing I will add, I mentioned earlier in this post the demand to join epn, this has created a number of sites that offer to build you a site and guarantee that will get into epn.....be very cautious if you decided to go down this road. There are those that can and those that can’t and in a lot of cases the charge can be anything from $200 - $250. I also notice the mention of Chitika sorry but not for me, but thats based on my own thoughts on how well they work, I would rather use clcikbank and show a list of text links and colour code them similar to Adsense when creating them. Amazon can be ok, and I have a large number of sites that I use them on. If you have problems getting into epn or feel that it is to much hassle there is another way to join the epn program and its totally white hat ! Just me a pm if you feel that you would rather consider this way. Best Regards Jack |
