Default How do YOU turn keywords into article titles?

I have a terrible time turning my keywords into article titles. I've used Yahoo answers and EzineArticles, but still I'm not sure where to find the questions that people are asking. Any suggestions on how to turn plain 'ol keywords into articles? Thanks!

Well... if your keyword is, for example, "best mountain bikes" you can write this title "How To Find Best Mountain Bikes" or "Where to find mountain bikes"

If you want to find buyer keywords, find some keyword scrapers and look for these prefixes:

"how to"
"ways to"
"best ways to"

If you'll excuse a dissenting tone: avoid prefices!

Title-writing is really copywriting, not content-writing.

However, leaving that aside for amoment, for SEO purposes what matters (as explained at some length and in some detail and with examples by Chris Knight, the owner of Ezine Articles, who knows a thing or two about this subject, as you might imagine) is to get your major keyword at the start of the title.

Threads in this forum about "article titles" are inevitably a panoply of suggestions involving prefices, numbers ("5 ways to ..."; "6 things you didn't know about ..."; "4 mistakes in ..." and so on). All of this is misguided.

You need to get your major keyword at the start of the title.

It matters.

Thank you both for the feedback!

I'm just trying to figure out how to make titles out of the keywords so I can do my article writing. So if I have "best mountain bikes" as my keyword, how do I figure out that mountain bikers want to know what the best helmets are, or "Why pedal A is better than pedal B" - see what I mean? Where do you go to find the questions that your niche is asking?

I'd say to go to Google and search for forums in your niche. Then scroll throw the post titles and there should be many questions or topics in there that people are interested in. Find ones that have many views, and you'll know what people in your niche are asking about.

First of all you have to find the best keywords using a keyword tool.

Write boring titles. Originality is not a good idea when you write the title for an article because most people make simple questions, typing in the same basic keywords.

Write titles like How to Make Money Online, but add something else to make them somehow exciting, like How to Make Money Online Right Now.

Complicated titles will make you lose readers. Write simple and very clear titles. You have only a few seconds to grab your readers’ attention.

Simplicity and excitement after making very boring questions will help you create great titles.

Be careful with keyword combinations in your title. Don’t mix keywords that don’t fit together and don’t clearly belong to the same category. Otherwise, the search engines may put your article in the wrong page.

Pay attention to the connections related to a keyword, and be loyal to your topic.

Type in entire phrases in you keyword tool, not only one or two keywords. You can find great titles by typing in 4 or 5 words in a keyword tool. The keyword combinations are very important for your title.

You can always check what people are buying on eBay, Amazon, ect...

Then once you know what's in demand, start writing reviews, techniques or advice that would be of benefit to your customers.

It's not HARD - just get writing and it'll come to you - I'm sure of it

Hope this helps,

Colin

Excellent advice, I always get my main keyword at the start of the title when ever possible. The Ezine articles site offer some great tips on writing top articles and it would be well worth spending some time reading through them.
