I am working on my ad campaign now. I am having 0.1% to 0.6% CTR for my campaigns which I hear is good around these parts. I am just wondering if any has stories of making several thousand dollars a month off of facebook advertising. I am trying to see if it is worth it for me to invest more time into this. Thanks!

| IMHO; Facebook Ads Strategy: Get them to LIKE your page, provide content, show value, answer questions and then sell. Google: Show good content, show value, answer question and then sell. Less one process here. For me, Google and FB have strengths and weakness of its own.. Google is expansive, FB is cheap generally. Google i get targeting, and mass prospects, with FB is more to the "in and cool" crowd. With FB, they are not in buying mode, but most of the time in Google they are. It dont discriminate against none of this providers.. Whichever works the best for my market, i will use them . |

Hi Yes, facebook advertising is better for building your list through your fanpage and opt-ins from that traffic rather than selling directly from a facebook ad. Or getting people to "Like" then monetize the fanpage. Mahlon |

I understand the big playera use bulk ad uploaders to setup perhaps 100 ads at a time with image and text combinations (the original one got shut down they came out with an API for uploaders a few services are using. There seems to be a big problem with ad fatigue, banner blindness goes up after one has been around for long, for a sustained big money campaign the ads would have to be regularly rotated. I can't get the big marketers to disclose to me their earnings. |

I use facebook to post my links in the status. I also use the groups to connect with more friends who can view my posts and links that that I place in them. Haven't tried any click campaigns, but if I did I would prefer Adwords.

I just did my first bit of FB advertising about 2 months ago. One word. Worthless. The traffic converts at a lower ROI than Google AdSense.. and that's already pretty bad as it is. It was a waste of money in my opinion. Logically it makes sense though.. how can you expect to compete with Facebook in getting people's attention? You really can't.

Facebook book did make money off of me...I see potential though if you pick the right products and niche. I think I am going to give it a second go and well see.

I took a beating on my first couple of attempts at advertising on Facebook, both using 2-step ads (getting them to sign up and then following with an autoresponder series) and 1-step ads where I tried offering a product directly off of a Facebook page. One thing you do not want to do and that is taking your prospect off of Facebook and trying to get them to take some sort of action on a page that isn't a Facebook page. |

Facebook has LOADS and I mean LOADS of traffic and if you can harness that traffic you can make a ton of money. Some one above mentioned fanpages, those are awesome too. And you can get cheap traffic.

I used facebook PPC to build an awesome community of people. They post updates, images, responses etc, now I am building a site for them and slowly taking activity off of facebook and onto my site. 2,300+ users (and growing) which keep coming back is great! Once the project is really up and running I'll make a thread about it. I let them choose the site name, features, domain name, everything - they feel like they're part of the site now which is good.

With Facebook especially, you have to be as specific as possible, e.g: don't mass target countries. Some people are making as much as 1K a day just with FB advertising. | |
