Default Adsense Question

I am just getting into the adsense website creation and put up a website about a month ago:

The website is daytradingcenter.net

It gets 1,000 unique visitors a month, and I'm hoping to get some feedback of what I can expect as far as revenue. Is there a adsense template I should be using instead of the one I have now. Any feedback would be a great help.

I think that is a decent paying niche. However, in terms of adsense I am not sure you are going to be too happy with 1000 visitors a month.

My rough guess based on my adsense experience is that your looking at maybe $15-20.

Hope you do better. Good Luck!

It's a common practice to insert 3 ad units each a different dimension that allows banner ads, your raise the number of potential as, and it only takes a single bidder to fill an ad group.

You can customize the styling of the adwords blocks to more closely resemble you main content, this tends to increase click rates.

Take care though, pages on obscure pages mat not have enough quality ad candidates, they may feed lower paying ads or public service announcements to fill all of the ad units, just look for decent ads in all blocks.

Create less content and direct your viewer to review some of your sponsored ads for more value.

Isn't that a big no no with adsense?

YES! It certainly is. You cannot direct anybody to click on ads or you will get kicked off of google adsense.

My suggestion would be to add a block of ads either at the top of your actual content or wrap the content around it to the right of the blog. This has always brought me more clicks than your current set up.

Also, consider linking some products for your market inside the text or with a banner ad towards the bottom. You have quite a bit of empty space you can either fill or you can shorten the link list on the side of your page by adding it to the bottom and filling the right side with a banner ad.

I've built some trading sites before, adsense generally pays around $1 per click. so, 1000 visitors (if they are all real), lets say 7% ctr, you might make $70 a month.
