What is wrong with my Google Places Listing ?

Hello everyone,

I operate a printing business in Ottawa, Canada. I've been hoping to get to the top of the list (or even the top 3) in the search results for places for 'Business Cards' or 'Ottawa Printing' and the like.

Currently there are only 6 businesses that show up *at all* for business cards in my local search results, and 3 that are part of the search result page. My page has user reviews, pictures, video links and so on, and a 100% complete listing. I my website naturally ranks on Google in position 13-15 in search results conducted from my area.

The other businesses listed in this category do not rank well for the keyword, do not have reviews, have not added videos and so on ...

So what am I doing wrong ?

I should also mention that I am listed on a good number of citation sites for my country (Yellow Pages, CanPages, Canada 411, Hot Frog, Zip Leaf, etc etc..).

Also, my business is relatively new, it was started earlier this year.

I'm in the US, I changed my search to Google Ottawa, Canada, so my search results might not be 100%?

I noticed the other 3 sites that rank on the first page of Google for the keyword Business Cards show their business location name on Google Maps, I don't see your business name showing up for your address on Google Maps.

I also see vistaprint ranking above the Google Places results with multiple listings for their website, they have a lot of backlinks (11k) from a private paid backlink network.

I'm aware that vistaprint ranks above Google Places for this. In my search results for 'Business Cards' I don't see any of the companies from the Google Places result in the first 7-8 pages of natural google results, yet I am on page 2 (ranking 13-15).

Your right in stating that I'm not even appearing as part of the result set for google places, so my question remains ~~ what is wrong with my Google Places listing ?

I think you are mixing up google places with search. You don't need a website for google maps/local/places.

I do not see your business even on google maps.

Deja printing is there, so is capital stamp.

You say you are affiliated with deja printing?

If you submitted your business to google maps, you
may need a major edit.

If you are affiliated with deja printing, why have 2 websites?
One for deja printing and one for printinottowa?

If I had the print in ottowa, I'd get a .ca

Google maps may be a little confused to have 3 printing businesses
at the same address.
