I was offered an adword coupon on another forum, which I find a bit suspicious, because it costs only $1.5 for $55 value. He even gave me the code before I payed anything. My adwords account is new so I can use a voucher, but I'm worried about this one. Could he hack my account if I applied it?

no, your account can't be hacked just by applying a code. If you are asked to download or run something before receiving the code then you should worry

There's an excess supply of Adwords vouchers that are only good for first time users, some marketers are supplied multiple copies to give out, every adsense advertiser has been mailed more than one $100 voucher. One of the terms included with the at least the vouchers send to adsense accounts: "The promotional credit is non transferable and may not be sold or bartered" |

Some adsense publisher don't want to use adwords, so they sell it with discounted price.

If your going to bother paying for a voucher at least get a $100 one ... any google engage partner has access to give this out for free. I'm sure if you asked nicely someone on the forum would be able to help you out.

No he can't hack into your account but there might be an activation fee that you need to pay Google at first in order to activate your account so that you can use the voucher's credits. Don't worry about the activation fee as it will be credited back to your account =D

I have a stack of $100 coupons sitting on my desk, right now, I get one in the snail mail at least once a month (maybe more). Why in the world would you pay for something you can get free? |

It doesn't sound like a scam, there was a time I used to buy vouchers on eBay for $5-7 to use for new accounts for FB, Adwords, Yahoo, MSN (when they were separate), MySpace. Honestly it seems like Google just gives away scores of them to people to get them to try the service. If you sign up under the Google Engage program and pass the quick exam they'll send you a box with a Google baseball cap and twenty vouchers that you can use. I got rid of so many of them (giving them to clients) that at the end of the month Google sent me a Google Nexus S. Huzzah! |

I haven't got any Adwords credits up to now. Google is so discriminating I think!

This is not a scam. Adwords gives certain people vouchers to give away to clients. Mostly hosting company owners, SEO company owners, and web design company owners.
