Forcing SEO or Time?

Whats the best? Time for your website to creep up the rankings by doing your own methods of SEO or taking the plunge and buying lots of SEO software etc to do this for you? What did you do?

SEO needs to look and be natural. I like to as much time as I can on my posts and pages. As long as my on page SEO is good the backlinks will come. I do pay to have some backlinks created, but I spend more time working on my onsite SEO than worrying about trying to buy software or create a ton of links.

why do not try both?
i think a prefect combination is the best way to go.
in my opinion. software can save your time and original one can give you quality. so i think you'd better find a suitable way to use both, it can certainly offer you a good result.

SEO does matter on two things Content & patience. Post fresh content every time it would help to get higher ranking & you have to some patience because seo is time taking strategy.

What does that even mean???

Two of you your examples are some of the easiest and best things to automate. Social Bookmarking and Blog Commenting are very easy to automate and if done properly gives you huge ROI on your time.

Whats a good free one to use? i know there are free editions but what do you get with that?

Doing SEO through your own effort would be much better. It always feels good seeing your site getting on top with your own effort. Though I'm not telling you to avoid using software, you can still do it if you want to get your tasks much easier.
