Quick question that has been bothering me for simetime. I know its prolly a dumb question but i just wanted to be sure. Lets say i wanted to tweak my post and do some seo, maby remove an ad block and change a couple words. After i republish what has already been published will that be counted as duplicate content? Or is that if i just changed the domain or url to the post.. Thanks!

Definitely no since they are of the same URL. But in some cases though that you have a full version of your article in the homepage and the other one in the single post then this might be a duplicate. To avoid this is (if this is a blog) you might want to display only a portion of the article in the homepage.

make sure you are using a canonical plugin so you are sure you only have one url per post

If you are modifying your existing content.. that won't be counted as duplicate content. But if your are modifying your existing content and posting it on some other location, that would, definitely, be marked as duplicate. |

I think it is the presence of a single content in two different urls that makes it a duplicate. Just my two cents.

Keep little content on the front page and put complete content on the single page. Then it will be ok.

To keep article unique there must be at least 30% of the article must be different. Removing ad block will not solve your problem.
