Default How does google know you aren't just using proxy servers to click your own links?

Seems obvious.

Google is not stupid
the CTR for ads of every niche are well known to them. Anything out of these bounds sends off alarm bells.

Cheaters wont get by with this, believe me. Proxy servers first of all are well known, the IPs of these proxy servers

believe me there is no way to fake click and get away with it, people think they are sly but they are not.

You cannot really hide your IP with proxy servers
there are ways to go beyond proxy servers. Sites which do this (and I am sure Google has this capability) can block you from entering their site even if you use a proxy server coming from another country. A proxy server is kind of a fake IP but it can be sniffed out, the real IP you are using, Dont risk this

I'd never do this. But I'm an IM noob and this question just popped into my head. I've seen people here talking about proxy servers and wondered what they were doing.

I wouldn't risk my adsense account for a few extra clicks if I were you

If you stick by the rules and do things by the book, you'll be fine! Don't listen to other people who are out to game the system!

Google have an array of metrics which they look at such as IPs, trends, bounce rate, time on site etc etc etc.....if it looks out of sync then Google will know!

Thanks
Zaheer

As soon as Google suspects that something fishy is going on but they can't put a finger on it right away, they will send you a warning letter and start investigating.

It happened to me when I joined the AdSense program and in the first month of joining made over $200.00.

In my case though, I am sure that they couldn't find any foul play (because there was no foul play) so they didn't send me any more letters and eight years later, I am still earning from AdSense.

So my advice to you is, whatever you do, do not take a chance because you will loose.

To your success,
Tony Alves
