I would like to make some small changes to a wordpress post that is bringing in a fair chunk of traffic. I literally want to change a few sentences around, but I'm worried that it might affect my Google Rankings in a negative way. (Currently #3 in Google) Would really appreciate your responses. |

You should be fine, as long as you are adding more content (and it remains relevant to the incoming search traffic). If you are making larger, more drastic changes to content, your SERP may be affected... which doesn't seem to be the case for you. |

I edit and update my posts frequently. As long as your edits are improving the experience for your readers and building on the original article it definitely won't have a negative effect your SERPS performance. And don't get hung up about keyword density - the reader experience is way more important, especially in today's post-Panda world. Cheers, Martin. |

No it wont harm at all. Google will start responding to your new post as soon as it is indexed. I have done this number of times.
