But I find a lot of times, sites with very decent traffic, take this one for example, 10,000 exact local searches CPC is $3.60 Its in a finance niche. The top sites in the top ten yes they are old domains relatively high PR lots of backlinks showing to the "page" (BLP) However As you can see by the screenshot below, for this kw the top sites are not targeting this term, look at the onpage SEO Mostly all you see is N N N, and none of them have the kw in the domain, and most of them do not even have a page showing, (subpage) with the kw in the url. It would seem google just put these sites in the top 10 because they found this kw term in these sites SOMEWHERE, but they are certainly not actively targeting the kw term. Would you target a term like this? or is the competition in your opinion too strong? The way I look at it, its like sometimes you see in similar spreads of the top 10, AMAZON, old strong domain lots of backlinks, but they can and are often outranked thoughts? |
