Other Ways To Monetize #1 Ranking for High CPC Keyword?

So I have recently acquired a number 1 ranking for a keyword that is supposed to get just over 4,000 exact searches a month. it is proving to bring 60-80 visits a day which doesn't quite add up, but that is beside the point. Looking in Market Samurai which pulls Google Keyword Tool data, the average CPC for this word is over $8. Currently, income is based off of affiliate sales.

Does anyone know of a different or better way to monetize this considering other websites are willing to pay $8 bucks a click, and probably more (if that's the average) for this traffic. Adsense is not the answer I'm looking for but if you have experience with it I would be interested I suppose. Selling banners? Lead brokering of some sort? the niche is for reasonably high priced physical products.

Can't you just sell the high priced physical product of the niche?

The number one position is estimated to receive about 35% of all clicks:

4000 / 30 x .35 = 47 visitors a day.

It would be interesting to see what your logs say about kw search visits.

The most expedient way to learn how the sites paying for $8 clicks are monetizing it, is to visit their sites. Spyfoo will give you a short list if adwords users in the free preview.

"Modeling" successful sites is the core strategy for some marketers.

my 4,000 was taken from market samurai which estimates traffic to the number one spot already. simply looking at the other sites makes great sense. i am currently selling those products, and its doing ok, but the idea of putting adsense on there and having more people click, getting me $4 a click sounds almost more appealing. just dont want to chincy it up with adsense.
