Here the situation About 4 months ago i launched my new website so i employed someone on oDesk for a cheap rate but he had great tests and good feedback ![]() so he did all on page SEO including keyword research and then started to work small amount - say 8 hours a week off page 3months on he has gotten me to the top page on google for my desired keyword - but i dont see any traffic from any of my keywords on analytics! So my other keywords are slowly climbing but i litrely still dont see any google traffic from my keywords my alexa is already 100k for a new site a pr 2 so i must be doing some good things but im not sure if i should start again with keywords and onpage and hire someone else or tell him to focus on other keywords or what? abit stuck! thanks guys. |

If your website is on page #1 without any traffic, maybe you should check your tracking code if it's setup properly. Have you checked how many monthly searches your keywords bring ? Maybe this is the issue.

What matters is making money. Are you making money? Your chosen keywords must not be worth squat as far as searches go. Real people need to be doing real searches and finding your page as a viable result. Alexa rank is meaningless. Paul |

i guess my problem is the keywords i have targeted - because if im on page 1 and not getting little to no clicks then it must be the monthly search so im going to have to find new keywords i guess. Now would this damage my site at all changing keywords etc? and also places where i have permo links should i change to my keywords? |

Yes you are Right. The main Problem is Keywords Which You Already selected .Because if you are in #1 page in google..Then I don't Think That You Not Got Traffic. Thanks. |

I go hmm about SEO all the time. I am somehere on the first page for social promotion, and I got four unique views today from that, and over two hundred unique views from Twitter. You see the problem is, if it makes good money, somebody's already done it, and if you go for a keyword, rather than a product that everyone wants to buy, then you're wasting your time, most of the time. You have to be lucky, or an SEO genius.
